I am committed to providing a safe, ethical, and trusted space for people to heal, grow, and explore their trauma. Guided by professional standards, therapeutic knowledge and creativity, I aim to empower people on their journey toward healing by facilitating long-term processing and emotional regulation, and fostering trust, learning, and emotional resilience.

Art Therapist/Counsellor

I’m a psychotherapist registered with the IACP, specialising in trauma and art psychotherapy. My work centres on supporting adults whose experiences have left lasting marks on their bodies, emotions, and day-to-day lives. Art therapy is at the core of how I approach trauma, because many survivors struggle to put their experiences into words. Creativity offers another way in — a way that can reach what talk alone often can’t.

My path into this work has been shaped by years spent in roles where trauma was a daily reality. I’ve managed Trust and Safety teams in corporate environments, taken crisis calls from people in acute distress, worked in capital defence in the US, and supported women navigating the challenges of re-entering society after prison. These environments exposed me to the many forms trauma can take and the many ways it affects how people think, feel, and relate to the world. This background continues to guide the way I understand and support the clients I work with today.

I hold a BA in Psychology, an MA in Forensic and Legal Psychology, and a BA in Integrative Counselling and Creative Art Psychotherapy. I’m ASIST certified and have additional training in resilience in those exposed to trauma, disaster, and war. I work exclusively with adults and offer a space where your pace, your readiness, and your needs lead the work. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic methods to match what is most useful for you, with creativity woven through the process whenever it supports your healing.

In therapy, art is not about producing something polished. It’s a way of accessing and expressing experiences that may be difficult to approach directly. Colours, images, and marks can create distance where there was none, soften overwhelming reactions, and make it possible to look at what has felt unmanageable. Research consistently shows that this kind of creative processing can be more effective for trauma than talk therapy alone, because it works with both the emotional and bodily responses that trauma activates.

I offer one-to-one art therapy sessions in Terenure, Dublin, as well as virtual sessions worldwide. I also run therapeutic art workshops, available on demand or through scheduled events, and create downloadable resources for wellbeing. I am fluent in Irish and welcome clients who wish to work through the language that feels most natural to them.
